Quintile and Ranking in Pivot Table

Hi, I was looking to try and find out if it is possible to try and include Quintile and Ranking to scores that I have for a list of agents. Currently I am having to write a formula outside the pivot table, but this causes problems as you cant filter on just the ranking or quintile scores etc, so I am looking for a solution to try and best display the information that I have.

Any tips or advise would be really appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

Yes, I guess you can insert some of the formulae into "Calculated Fields" tab under the Pivot Table. Can you post a sample template of your workbook in excel format if you need further help?

    Hi,

See the attached file, I could get the RANK columns into the Pivot Table, however not QUINs since these columns are based on the Pivot Table fields.

Can you not create a summary sheet first and then Pivot Table (see the attached file)? This way the RANKs don't change when you apply the filter.

chatrody, thanks for that, i guess that would work as im guessing its not possible to write calculated fields for quintiles. Just wondering how i would sort the ranking in order if i wanted to see this as I know I can use the value filters to pick the quintiles scores etc, but not sure how i can view the ranking in order if need be.

You can SORT the columns F,G & H in the attached file (Summary Sheet) if you want to SORT the RANKs.

Re: Quintile and Ranking in Pivot Table

Thank you cbatrody, your a star. I promise its the last question : )

If I had the original pivot table and the formulas next to it, is there anyway filters on the formulas could control the pivot table values as well.

For example, if I selected the 1 QUIN to show me the score of 5, I want to see the pivot table only show me the scores for these agents.

Apologies, just wanted to know for my learning, so not fussed if its not possible.

thank you for all your help once again

No, I don't think that will be possible unless you have QUINs as well within the Pivot Table (Like I showed in the summary sheet)

Thanks cbatrody, for all your help. Just been told that might have to add slicers in terms of dates, weekly periods, so will need to work this out as the scores would have to be dynamic to the period required, so gona have a look at that now. Thanks for all your help once again.
