How to calculate Difference (%) in Power Pivot

In power pivot, I have a table that contains CY LBS and PY LBS....in Power Pivot if I add the calculation of CY LBS minus PY LBS, it returns the correct figure...if I want to find the percent difference (CY LBS / PY LBS)-1 it does not return the proper percentage. Is there a different way I have to structure the formula for this to work?

If you have it divide the smaller number by the larger one then multiply by 100, it will give you the correct answer.

Alas...that did not work...one of my co-workers told me that for it to work you need to put the formula at the bottom of the power pivot column...that does not work in my example because it is a table linked to Access. I don't know where to go from here.

Sorry, with Access and Power Pivot(?) involved, I'm pretty much at a loss too.

    Not quite.

You can add a calculated column to Power Pivot and enter a formula that does a calculation based on other columns.

Only calculated fields (also called Measures) need to be placed in the grid below the table.

I don't quite understand why this would not work if the data source is an Access table. Once it shows in Power Pivot, you can add measures in the grid below the table.

On the Power Pivot Home ribbon click the icon that toggles the visibility of the Calculation Area. It's on the very right in my version.
