    power pivot vs. olap

    Hello everybody,

    i dont have a problem, but i want to know if is competitive tool power pivot instead of OLAP. It is some free source of information how we can create power pivot? how its looks the datasource?

    Hello,

    OLAP just gets data from a source outside of Excel.

    Power Pivot can combine multiple data sources and hierarchical data structures, and it has powerful formulas to evaluate and aggregate data across the different data sources.

    Get started here and look at other pages in that site. It's one of the best Power Pivot resources on the web right now.
