I need to put these two bar graphs into one chart, side by side, so that the dates of the records are on the horizontal axes and lined up with the correct bar and keep the bars separate, but on one chart. For some reason, Excel wont let me have them be two independent series on one graph. Can anyone help me???????????????????????

You need to slightly modify the data layout for this, see the attached file.
Change data layout to more "database alike".
see screenshot. The graph is made as stacked bar which makes easy to format it to your needs but of course it assumes that new and old dates are always different.
PS. You can skip row between and have a table just:
to keep both bars next to each otherPHP Code:date old new
Apr 15 5547900
Jun 15 5598100
