    Chart, ignore blanks

    I need a chart to be made from a general ledger. I need the chart to find each cell with the word "inventory" in it and to plot how many sales for each type of inventory as there will be many different types. It has to specifically contain that word or else it will just plot every cell with a word in it such as cash or a/r or something.

    I also need the chart to:
    - ignore blank cells
    - to be continuously refreshing as the amount of data will continue to grow

    I've attached an example workbook.

    Hello
    If this is literally what you wish to do:

    plot how many sales for each type of inventory
    Perhaps you could turn your ledger into an Excel Table and use a pivot table to sum each 'Inventory' item. See attached file for examples. The table is dynamic, so as you add data the pivot table (after refresh) will update. There is also a slicer to select all or different inventory items.
