Pivot table - how to show percentage of total?

    Hi everybody,

Lets say we are in a production company and we want to see the percentage of batches ready for production of the total.

    I have a Pivottable with 4 columns.

    column1: production date | column2: Total batches to produce | Column3: Batches prepared | Column4: % ready

    For example: 20150719 | 100 | 85 | 85%

I'm having trouble getting this last column right. In a table it would be easy, formula would be: =column3/column2.
I tried with calculated fields but can't get this to work

Important is that when I refresh the table due to new data that the calculations stay in position. The length of the PT will also differ.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi,

I guess this can be done using "Calculated Fields". Can you post a sample template of your workbook here without any confidential information?

I don't deal much with pivot tables but it seems that by adding the two fields produce and prepare again in the Values area and then right click each column and select Show Values As and choose % of Grand Total would do what you are trying to achieve.

Find the attached workbook to see if this is what you are trying to achieve.
