Dynamic Chart where data and axis is based on formula

Hello All,

I have been struggling to create a dynamic chart where the source for the axis and the data is derived from a reference.

Attached is a simple example of the challenge I can't seem to overcome. It is borrowed from - http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/...umnChart1.html

Column A and B have named Dynamic ranges which I need to grow and shrink depending on if there is an actual value...they however have formula's which result in " " if the source is empty, yet the named range still grabs it, and my chart is then incorrect...maybe my named range is wrong??

Hello Melvinrobb, thanks for your suggestion. The challenge is that I am actually using the lookups to reference a few different pivots...probably not the most efficient method, but the one I am comfortable with to create the chart look I need for my very picky boss:-)
