    Combining dates in a survey

    Hi everyone!

I'm working on a customer satisfaction survey for training. 10-30 people would be taking the survey about every 2-3 days.
I've come up with the survey just fine using office 2013 and I have no problems with this part at all.

However, I am trying to get the survey data into graphs/charts and I am having a bit of an issue. I've created names for various pieces of data, so that the graphs auto update with each new submission.

I want to get the data combined by date instead of listing each separately by submission.

I've included my test copy with test data from co-workers.

Any help you guys can give would be most appreciated!

    Thank you!

    Hi there,

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by:

I want to get the data combined by date instead of listing each separately by submission.
but take a look at the Charts in the attached workbook and see if they're what you have in mind.

Hope this helps - please let me know how you get on.

    Regards,

    Greg M

Thanks for helping with this. This is exactly what I have been looking for!
Now I am going to dissect what you did and replicate it for future input.

Re: Combining dates in a survey

    Hi again,

Many thanks for your feedback - I'm delighted that I was able to help.

In Rows 10 and 11 of the Survey 1 worksheet you'll see that there are several cells which contain SUMIF formulas - these are the key to collating the data in the way that you want. Each of the new Charts gets its data from one of these rows.

    Best regards,

    Greg M
