Chart Data skewed by one point along x-axis

Hello,

My data is not plotting correctly. As you can see in the example file, the points in the first graph should be (0, 0) and (1, -0.34) but are instead skewed by one point in the X-Axis and i cant figure out why.

Please help this is driving me crazy lolQ-Rack data.xlsx

I couldn't get the graph to start with point (0,0), however I was able to mask that the graph was skewed by:

Changing Axis Options Minimum to fixed and inputting 1.0,

Changing Axis Options Axis labels to None.

This produced the following graph:

The problem is caused by an incorrect use and understanding of how Excel handles text (including empty string "") cells.

I would suggest that you review this article http://peltiertech.com/mind-the-gap-...g-empty-cells/ Pay particular attention to the section about simulating empty cells. I think you will find that, for XY scatter charting purposes, you will usually get better chart results if you use NA() as your "empty" return value rather than "empty string".
