Data and Pivot Table Challenge

Data and Pivot Table Challenge:
I have 41 KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and 8 Areas responsible for reporting on these KPIs monthly. For each KPI there will be a Yes (if the particular Area did supply the required information for the KPI), a No (if the particular Area did not supply the required information for the KPI), and a N/A (if no information is required from an Area for that particular KPI).
This is done for each month.

Typical reports required for each month and overall for YTD (Year to Date) would be:
A particular KPI and month(s) - Which Areas have not given the required information
A particular Area and KPI – In which months did the Area not supply the required information
A particular Area and month(s) – For which KPIs did the Area not supply the required information

What would the best way be to:
1) Tabulate the data, i.e. what will the column and row headings be optimally
2) Set up the pivot table(s)

I'd gather the data in a table.
Columns would be labeled:
Month - KPI - Area - Yes/No

Then Pivot Tables would be able to easily create any report you need.
