I created a line chart with data that is all under 100.00, but the line chart axis shows 260. If I change the maximum to 100, then the top two data sets go off the page. Why and how do I fix it?
Thanks
Carol

Right click on chart -> Change Chart Type.
You using Stacked line.
Choose first icon in that row named just Line.

You say that you created a "line chart", but my guess is that you created a "stacked line chart" (62+77~140 and 140+62~200). Check your chart type and make sure it is a line chart and not a stacked line chart.
(If it makes you feel better, this seems to be a common mistake, though I don't know why).

You all are speedy - and figured it out VERY fast! Thanks!!!
And, I would add, there is no description to go with each icon (well, if you hover over an icon long enough, a "tool tip" pops up with a text description). Microsoft made it easy to pick an icon for a chart type without really knowing what that icon represents.I can tell you in my case, I changed it because the icon looked better - smarter

I totally agree! I did hover over and it did say it was a stacked line chart - but it didn't give me a description or a tool tip and I honestly didn't take the time to go figure out the difference or why you would want a stacked vs a simple line, I just clicked and went on my way and then didn't even remember that I changed it when the axis was wrong. (Yes, I started with a simple line chart and changed it to stacked *shaking head* - sometime I am my own worse enemy!)
