Formatting Error Within Chart

Hi,

I'm not sure if this has been discussed before however I have looked through other threads and could not see anything!

I'm having an issue with the currency format of my charts. I have created a database which has a lot of graphs within it, all formatted to show the £ sign along the axis.
However, I'm finding that when I close the database and re-open it, whether later the same day or the next day, some of the charts have changed to $ signs instead of the initial £ signs. I have gone into the formatting of the axis when this happens, and the formatting has changed to a custom format which I have not done. I have changed this back to £ signs numerous times, however again, when closed and re-opened at a later time, the $ signs are back, not on the same graphs as previous, but different ones!

Other people have opened the document as Read-Only and can also see $ signs, close it and then re-open another day and the £ signs will be back but $ signs showing on a different chart.

It's only my graphs that are effected by this, my pivot tables/other information are all fine and with hold the £ on any currency formatting I have.

I'm becoming extremely frustrated and I can't seem to find anything that can help me with my issue!

Does anyone have any ideas?

If your graph shows $ while data is showing £ you've probably entered an customized format in the graph. what happens if you remove any customized format from the graph and just tick the box for "link to Source". If done correctly Excel should inherit the format setting from the source.
