different series based upon filters (pivot charts)

I have a pivot table that shows service desk metrics (help desk). I can see average time to resolution per incident. Each incident has who was assigned to it. I can build out a pretty graph that shows me average time to resolution for all incidents in a time period. However, I want to create a different series (line graphs) for each manual grouping of person that was assigned the ticket by which level they are (level1, 2 or 3)

    For example:
Level 1 = John, Mike, Sarah,
Level 2 = Joe, Shawn, Alice
Level 3 = Mark, Jim, Greg

I want a series (different line on the line graph) for level 1, level 2, and level 3. The data does not have any way for me to tell which level a person is, which is why I'm thinking some sort of filter.

    Thoughts?

This will depend very much on how the source data looks. Often a pivot table issue can be solved by adjusting the source data with helper columns.

I could certainly do that but this data is going to be imported monthly so want to handle this in the pivot. I don't have any data that suggests which level the people are. That is why I want to do some sort of custom field or manual filtering/grouping of people in the pivot.

How are you importing it? If you are using MS-Query, the data comes in as an Excel Table. If you copy and paste it, you can copy and paste it into an Excel table. One of the things Excel tables do is remember formulas and copy them down the range automatically.

Oh good point. I could put the helper columns at the end so my paste won't stomp on them.

Show how could look like the sample data and hand-drawn graph.
It is possible that it can be achieved in excel using Power Query.

Exactly! I don't know how I lived before Tables came along.

If you want some code to put behind a button to clear out the old data, here it is:
