Question PowerPivot (2016) - hourly average and cumulative average ?

    Hi,
I'm just getting started in PowerPivot so please forgive me if this is a simple question! I have some data as per below and I would like to be able to do a couple of averaging tasks but cannot figure out how..... any pointers much appreciated :-)

For the temperature I would like to calculate a column which shows the hourly average, an average of the values from the last hour.
For the humidity I would like to calculate a column which shows the cumulative average for the whole time period.

Sorry about the formatting, it looked OK in edit mode :-)

Re: PowerPivot (2016) - hourly average and cumulative average ?

    Hi Folks,

Powerpivot is starting to make sense to me now, pretty amazing engine it is too :-)

I have cumulative sum working at the moment but have a specific question to ask where I'm going wrong with my formula?

Basically I have a total for the hour of data which accumulates nicely (and is what I'm after) until the end of the day at which point it starts counting from zero again. How do I adjust the formula below so that the cumulative sum carries on until the end of the dataset please, ie doesn't start again on the following day?

    Many thanks.

    1. It would help to see the workbook.

You get better help on your question if you add a small excel file, without confidential information.

Please also add manualy the expected result in your file.

    To Attach a File:

    1. Scroll down to the window below your post Additional Options
    2. In the frame Attach Files you will see the button Manage Attachments
    3. Click the button.
    4. A new window will open titled Manage Attachments - Excel Forum.
    5. Click the Browse... button to locate your file for uploading.
    6. This will open a new window File Upload.
    7. Once you have located the file to upload click the Open button. This window will close.
    8. You are now back in the Manage Attachments - Excel Forum window.
    9. Click the Upload button and wait until the file has uploaded.
    10. Close the window and then click Submit.
Notice my main language is not English.

I appreciate it, if you reply on my solution.
