Often the slicers are moved off screen, then can even be moved to a different sheet, so it's not readily apparent that they are there. This can be very dangerous. Is there any way for the user to know if there are slicers attached to a pivot table?

Good afternoon ChemistB
From VBA? Try entering this in the immediate window of the VBE :
There's a really good article here about using slicers with VBA if you're interesting in taking it further (the official MS page on SlicerCashes is, sadly, a little wanting. Please Login or Register to view this content.

Thanks Dominic, I will use this and I will check out that article. So strange that it can only be detected through VBA. At least with a filter, there's the little funnel cluing the user in. or with "protect workbook" there's the "depressed" icon.
Okay, trying to expand upon this information. I tried this codeUnfortunately,Please Login or Register to view this content.

Okay, I found it. If you select a cell within the pivot table and then go to tab Options. Select the dropdown on "Insert Slicer" and there is "Slicer Connections". That gives you a list of all the slicers in the workbook. Checked slicers are relevant to the current Pivot table, non-checked slicers belong with other slicers.
