I have linked an SQL view to excel which consists of 5 columns. This data changes every week but this particular export needs some additional data which should manually added for each record/line in the table.
So I insert two columns in this table right? Looks like this:
Column1 (SQL) Column2 (SQL) Column3 (SQL) Column4 (SQL) Column6 (Manual input INT) Column7 (Manual input INT) Column5 (SQL) 201611 100963-1-1611 M1 199 M102
This list extends a couple hundred rows. Basically someone is adding Integers (number between 1 and 7) in column 6 & 7 which should be tied to this record/line. Here the problem emerges. When I hit refresh or reopen the file, the values I entered seem to randomly jump to a different record/line. Since the data in this table is very dynamic and changing day to day I can't go about copy paste stuff out of it. The next step is to put this data in a pivot table on a 7x7 grid (hence the particular data input). Since this number allocation is very much a human judgment, the information in the line is essential to determine the integer value, this part can't be automated or come from an external source/linked table; it's the very reason I'm exporting the data to excel.
I am completely lost to what the cause of this is and how I can solve/work around this.
