Pivot table not displaying correct field list info

    Hi,

Newbie here and new to excel as well.

I have a pivot table that isnt displaying information correctly. For some reason the main data entry "Florida" is coming up as "5t" in the pivot table. Anyone know of a way to fix this without having t completely remake the pivot table?

Thanks for your help in advance.TABLE.jpgMAIN DATA.JPG

I can only think that you have 5t somewhere in your data (in the destination column)?

If it's not in your source data now, but maybe was in the past, you can try the following:

Right click anywhere in your pivot table, an choose Pivot Table Options. Go to the Data tab and change the "Number of items to retain per field" to None
Excel is a constant learning process and it's great to help each other. If any of us have helped you today, a click on the "reputation" star on the left is appreciated.

Thanks for your reply shirleyxls. I tried looking for 5t and couldnt find it in the destination column so I dont think that is the issue. I also tried changing the "Number of items to retain per field" but no success.

    Any other suggestions?

Sorry, changing the items to retail per field DID fix the issue. Thanks!

Re: Pivot table not displaying correct field list info

Is there any VBA (macro) code which does anything with the pivot table or is it an entirely manual process?

I did find some information where people had similar problems when the pivot was created with VBA so just thought I'd ask.

Excellent. Glad to hear it's fixed

Your post crossed over mine so ignore the VBA question
