Options to chart monthly events and compare to other months

Hard to explain so please bear with me. I am a volunteer driver and would like to chart my trips and compare them month to month.
My spreadsheet log sheet (Excel 2007) has the dates of my trips, some days there may be no trips, other days several. How, can I chart this.. and have multiple months on the chart as well.
What I think I want.. is a chart that shows a point (representing a trip) located on a generic month time line. And multiple months identified by colour?

Any suggestions on how I might accomplish this would be greatly appreciated.

Could you attach a sample workbook showing the data you have?

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

As requested if it helps attached is one months data. My desire is to "somehow" be able to compare one months rides to others.
A generic 31 day calendar along the bottom axis with rides shown as points corresponding to the date taken along the side axis ??

Perhaps something like the attached?

Note the numbers in red are made up rather than formula generated (like the Jun2016 ones are) because there was only one month work of data provided. But in theory you could adapt the formulas for June to refer to each month's page.
