Fixed position for numbers on a stacked column chart.

Hello,

I have a stacked column chart with about 30 bars. Aesthetically the numbers within the chart look better when placed 'on top' of the bars within chart.
Unfortunately, this is done manually, as the only options within the table are 'center', 'inside end', 'inside base' (all of which looks terrible).
These bars are simply to show a level of completeness for various things.

A one time effort to do this manually would be fine, however anytime something is marked as complete, the number moves. This forces me to manually finagle each of the numbers to sit nicely on top of the bar again.

Is there a way to lock the numbers in place, or adjust correctly so I don't need to move them back to the top of the bar anytime somethings marked as done?

If you mean you have a single value showing the total of the stack then use another series, plotted as line to display the total data label.
If not can you post example example of your chart type so we can see exactly what you have.
