Excel Chart Duplicate Labels on X-Axis

Afternoon all,

I know there's gonna be a simple solution to this but I'm struggling to google my way to victory and it's driving me round the deucin bend! I'm trying to produce a chart but it is showing multiple instances of the same label on the x-axis when I obviously only want it to be shown once. Example attached.

If you want to aggregate all the data for Dept 1 for example, then you require a pivot chart rather than a regular chart, or some sort of summary table using formulas. A pivot chart would be the simplest option as it will only need a few mouse clicks to set up.
