I want to chart two columns - say column A on Y-axis and column B on X-axis. Both column values are based on formulas using the iferror function to return a space if the formula result is an error. So =IFERROR(my formula,""). When I then plot this data the Y-axis shows my numbers as spaces and blanks ("") as zero, but the X-axis then defaults to just showing the data sequentially as categories. So if there are 9 rows, there are just 1 to 9 categories across the bottom.
The only way I can see to fix this is to leave my values as errors, so don't use the iferror function to clean it up but this is not ideal as it makes the spreadsheet appear very messy. I don't want to use conditional formatting to "hide" the error because this will just slow my spreadsheet down.
I have shown two screenshots, one with the iferror function and one without it.
