I have on set of data with vairous forumules calculating different pass and fail rates etc, and I wish to create a pivot table without using the pivot table funstion to show all totals in one table.

Are you saying that the pivot table works but you want an alternative approach?
I would STRONGLY recommend that you use the pivot table as the basis so you know you have all the dimensions (Sites and Test/Pass/IP/Overdue/Fail categories)
Aside from that if you know the dimensions will not change EVER, then this formula will work in cell N8:copy and paste that in N8 then drag to Q22.
