Dynamic chart of counted data extracted from pivot table

    Hello,

In the screenshot attached you will see an overview of my problem (in the real file, every element is in a separate sheet).

I need to create a chart that will update itself with the data added. I just learned about dynamic charts using the OFFSET function but I don't think it will do the trick because of the pivot table.

The problem is that the pivot table (in blue) will expand along with the data added every month (in red). The green table was created by using COUNTIFS function with the needed columns in the pivot table (the numbers in the green table are wrong, it's just an illustration). So, of course, every time the data is updated, the columns in the pivot table are displaced and my references in the green table go wrong.

How could I do it ?
Do you think I could organize the pivot table differently, in a way that it won't mess up when data is added ?
Or could I use the GetPivotData function (which I never quite understood) ?

I am using Excel 2010. Hoping it's clear enough...
    Thank you very much !

First of all, not everyone can see PNG files on this site. I am one of them. Secondly, it would help a lot if you could attach a sample workbook without sensitive data. You are correct that offset is the key to dynamic charting, but sometimes you have to get creative in how you calculate the arguments.
One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.
