Changing Pivot Table Data Source - Connected Filters Error

I'm working on a forecasting tool and as I'm making progress I make changes to the data set (add a new column for a filter check, etc).

I built out this tool with around 30 pivot tables and I added a new column to my data sheet but it doesn't update with my refresh button. So I tried changing the data source and got this error:

"The data source of a PivotTable connected to filter controls that are also connected to other PivotTables cannot be changed. To change the data source, first disconnect the filter controls from this PivotTable or from the other PivotTables."

I kind of understand what's going and it seems the solution is to completely clear every filter off ALL my pivot tables. That would pretty much be starting from scraps again so I am looking for a work around. I literally need to expand my data source range by like 2 columns.

I've tried changing the data source from table/range but it doesn't do anything. Does anyone have any ideas? I guess I just didn't set my PivotTable up with a dynamic range and it might've come back to bite me in the butt.

Re: Changing Pivot Table Data Source - Connected Filters Error

Just to be clear. You are telling me that all the pivot tables are built on an Excel table and that you get the error when you add a column to the Excel Table? I can't think of a reason why that would happen.

Is it possible to "desensitize" the data and include a sample workbook?
One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.
