Question how to keep data always in ascending order (pivot table/chart used)

Is there a way to keep the data sorted (ascending order) each time, no matter what code I pick?

For example, my first screen shot below, I have selected in my slicer "px code" 99291. Afterwards I manually sorted the data (via pivot table) to be ascending order.

My second screen shot below, I went to my slicer and selected "px code" 99239. However, my data is no longer in ascending order and I have to manually sort it again.

Is there a way to keep my data automatically in ascending order regardless of which code I pick? I want to be able to click on any code and always have the data in ascending order.

    Hi,
I think it's better to share your workbook.
But you can try by putting the field Px Code in the row section in second position, sort the data without filter Px Code, then try to filter by slicers.

    sheet attached.

sheet 3 is pivot table, sheet 4 is where I placed my charts/slicers.

I tried but failed, not sure what I am doing wrong. Please take a look.

If you can help make my data always in ascending order (regardless of which code I pick or person, that would be soooo helpful!

    Thank you

*ignore my ugly charts , I was starting to format them. (not done)

    Here is the quick way

    1. Select any single cell in the Value Column (in your screenshot, you can select cell containing 1 corresponding to Joe)
    2. Go to Data ribbon, Click A to Z button and you are done.
    3. Pivot chart will also react on it.

    Hope this helps,
    Regards,

    Hi,
you can put the Px Code field as first row in the pivot table, sort the values without filtering then each time you filter, the values will stay in the sorting order.
try with this worksheet and tell us if it worked.

Vikas Gautam - that only helps when I select one code. After I change my code it messes up again. It doesn't stick.

Hossat - You are a genius!!! that works perfect. My next question is for the other chart. How do I do the same thing? The other chart will only show 1 person's name at a time. But will display all the codes they used. Any idea how I can make that always ascending to?

    edit--------------
ok, stupid question, I just did the same thing you taught me but on chart 2 as well and it worked. Before I make my topic solved... I just need to check 1 more thing.
