Hi,
I have two calculated items in a pivot (total data set is 8,000 rows). These are making the data set VERY slow when trying to pivot the data (add additional fields, etc). Is there any way around this? I have the pivot set up with "dollars" as values and column label called "view type". There are 7 view types and I have a calculation that subtracts one (or more) view types from the other.
Any thoughts?
Yeah I find that to be an issue as well, so I started calculating in the raw dataset instead.

I would do that, but I have the data set up now that I can't and would have to redo the whole thing!
Yep, I had to rebuild the whole thing as well... which was LESS annoying than the lag associated with the calculated items in the pivot fields.
It's about which is least bad unfortunately.
