Getting into Pivot Tables - Having issue with Multiple Ranges

First time working through pivot tables with multiple fields, and I am unsure how I am doing this wrong.

    Attachment shows my predicament.

I have the first pivot table just for example show how I want the data to be shown. Fields from A1 through I1 are my field list. This was just an initial data dump of the "Device #1" tab, eventually I would use the data to make report filters where the company could search for the information they need in an easy to use and protected format.

However when I tried to build multiple ranges it messes up. I put in multiple ranges, "Device #1" and "Device #2" and I get a completely different set of fields. Instead of showing the top field names it counts the values.

As I am new to this stuff I am a bit over my head, I tried to figure out what I was doing wrong and I just don't see any correlation. All I did was consolidate multiple ranges into a single format. Any help would be good, thank you!

Alas, the join function for pivot tables doesn't work like that. The only thing I know of is to join the tables on the spreadsheet into a combined table. I join tables so often that I have a "canned" function (saved as a bas file) to do it. You give it the two tables you want to join and the name of the output table. All three tables must exist before using this function.

I have a better function for clearing a table if you want it.

One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.
