First time working through pivot tables with multiple fields, and I am unsure how I am doing this wrong.
Attachment shows my predicament.
I have the first pivot table just for example show how I want the data to be shown. Fields from A1 through I1 are my field list. This was just an initial data dump of the "Device #1" tab, eventually I would use the data to make report filters where the company could search for the information they need in an easy to use and protected format.
However when I tried to build multiple ranges it messes up. I put in multiple ranges, "Device #1" and "Device #2" and I get a completely different set of fields. Instead of showing the top field names it counts the values.
As I am new to this stuff I am a bit over my head, I tried to figure out what I was doing wrong and I just don't see any correlation. All I did was consolidate multiple ranges into a single format. Any help would be good, thank you!
