    Pivot Table - consolidated columns

    Hello,

In our company a purchase order could be split among several salesmen, depend on their participation in the process.
When we get data from the system, the Excel spreadsheet has four columns with data. Most of the cases only column 1 has data but it is possible that all the columns are filled

What I'm trying to solve is to know how much each salesmen have sold.
If we check the image 1, the purchase order A has three salesmen: Alberto, Carlos and Diego
    Purchase order B, only Carlos
    Purchase order C, only Diego
but Purchase order D, Diego and Carlos.

Is there a way to create a pivot table to show how much each salesmen have sold?

I made this table manually just to show what I need to get from the spreadsheet - but this is not possible
in a real situation because the table has more than 500 records.

Are you (or your IT support teccies) able to get a different output format from your back office system? Most allow some sort of output definition and an SQL enquiry should be able to get a csv file with the three columns you need for a PT.

If not I suggest you use brute force and copy the ordernumbers from column A immediately under the last order.
Then copy The data from columns D:E under the last name in column B.
Then repeat copying colums F:G and then H:I.

If there is not way to use pivot table or another Excel trick to get the data, I think I will need to contact the IT department of my company. The problem to organize the data manually is that, besides the huge quantity of data, I have to extract the data frequently, make impossible to organize them every time.
    Thank you for your comments.

Just use the macro recorder to capture the process. Then post back here so that we can tidy it up. It will contain the hard coded references to the cells you use so it will need tweaking so that it will work however much data you have - as long as the data columns are consistent.

Alternatively upload a copy of a subset of your actual data. Presumably a csv file, and no doubt we'l be able to create the macro for you.
