Excel 2010 - Pivot Table conditional formatting - use multiple rows formatting on one row

    Hi all,

    i need some help.

I have a Pivot table with data connection to SQL DB.

last field on the row labels is having a split into 2 rows with 2 different statuses: "Done" / "Not Done".
Each row represent a Feature with feature data.
The values which are dates, are tasks start/finish dates of tasks that are part of the module.
The field of the column label is showing different tasks/milestones types (PDR, EOD. ...) for any feature on the rows.,
The last field on the row labels is divided to Done or Not done rows (with the +/- sign on the previous column that can expand or collapse it).

I used conditional formatting for each row (Done / Not Done) which takes all the past dates from the values (less than today which is on one of the cells) and then mark it with red background if it has "Not Done" status on its row or green if it has "Done" status on its row.

The issue is if i collapse the 2 rows into a single row i don't see the formatting colors.

How can i make it on a single row with it relating to the status?

    See examples in the attachments.

    Would appreciate any idea.

But you are basing Conditional Format on "Schedule Status" right?

If it's collapsed to single row, there is no way to tell which is which (or rather, single row will contain summarized info of both status).

I'd recommend putting "Schedule Status" in either filter or slicer and toggle report that way.
