Can a Chart Data Label Display Text?

I have a chart that plots ratios that are calculated by a formula in a table. If the demonstrator is zero rather than display an error (DIV/0) I have the formula display "ND" meaning No Data. The chart data label displays the number "0" and not "ND". Is there a way for the chart data label to display the "ND" instead of "0"?

1) Apply the data labels to the chart.
2) Click on any of the data label values to select them all.
3) Click on any of the data labels again to select only one.
4) When only one is selected type an equals sign into the formula bar and then click on the cell that contains the relevant value.
5) Repeat for each of the data labels.

Thanks BadlySpelledBuoy, I have 15 chart each having 17 data labels so I have to do that to 255 labels. Do you know of an easier way?

That's the only method I know of for Excel 2010 I'm afraid. Someone may come along with a better solution though. I know I'd be keen to see it.

You could possibly write some VBA to do this for you.

Thanks BadlySpelledBuoy, I will wait and see if anyone else has a easier solution before I take on this task. Though it is a good idea, it would take me longer to write VBA code, then to just manually do what you said.

There is not any easier way in Excel 2010- VBA would be necessary.
