    Re: Stacked Bar chart problem

In this Chart, Start times are showing correct but end times are showing not correct

    Example for Australia

Start time show 2:30AM but end time show 2:00PM (It should be 11:30 AM)

    Example for USA

Start time show 10:30PM but end time show 6:00AM (It should be 7:30 AM)

    Re: Stacked Bar chart problem

You need a "difference" column in your spreadsheet and use that column for the second data series. For times that are both on the same day, this can be a simple end time-start time (=C3-B3). For events that go across midnight, you need to figure out an appropriate test condition to test for the across midnight. Perhaps =C3-B3+IF(B3<C3,0,1). Then change the second series to use this column instead of column C.

    Re: Stacked Bar chart problem

    Hello,

your chart is plotting only the End Time column, which does not make any sense at all. As Mrshorty suggested, you need to calculate the duration of each event. In order to allow duration to cross midnight, you can use this formula, startind in D3 and copied down:

    =IF(C3>B3,C3-B3,(C3+1)-B3)

Format as General or as custom [hh]:mm, not as a.m. or p.m. time

Then create a stacked horizontal bar chart with two series, Start time and duration. Duration will be stacked on top of start time, so it will start at the start time and the bar will show the duration, ending at the value that you see in the End Time column.
