sorting dates in report filter section of pivot table when selecting multiple items

    Good morning,

I have created multiple pivot tables with the date as the report filter. Upon updating and refreshing the pivot table, the dates in the report filter become unsorted. In order to update these pivot tables, I now have to scroll throughout the entire list to find the dates to select. I hope to find a way to sort the dates in order. The end result I am looking for would be to select 1 business week (Mon-Fri) with each pivot table 1 week out of each month. I have only inputted just one pivot table, but in essence would have one for each week for the month of March. I am using excel 2010. I have attached a spreadsheet for an example.

    Thanks for your help.

There is a manual way to do this. Temporarily move the TEMP DATE from the FILTERS Box to the ROWS Box in the pivot table. Sort oldest to newest. Move the TEMP Date back to the FILTERS Box. There may be a VB method for doing this. You got my curiosity going on this one. If I find it, I'll post it.
One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.

This is overkill. It sorts all the pivot fields in every pivot table on every sheet. It can be modified for the specific sheet, pivot table and field.

Thanks for your help ... In this workbook, I have 22 different pivot tables on 8 different sheets, so I am not sure how to modify this to only this worksheet. Is it possible to write a macro for the first set of steps you provided? I tried, but the macro always goes back to the same pivot table. I have 5 pivot tables for the month (one for each week). Let me know if you need my workbook for an example.
