Count number of rows by date (column) and graph in line chart

Hi, I am trying to create a line graph with Excel that adds together the number of rows in my document together by month. There is a date column for each row where the date can be accessed. From there, I want to graph this data in a line chart where the month is the x-axis and the number of rows is the y-axis. Please let me know how to accomplish this.
