Angry Can't overlap two series of data in a graph, Series overlap and Gap Width missing!

    Hello everybody!,

I am writing you with an issue I am having with a graph which I can't solve. I spent the last two hours looking everywhere and trying but nothing, I can't do it!

Basically I created a curve graph Force (Y axis) vs Time (X axis) for two series of data. Now because there is a huge offset between the relevant portion of each curve for the two series of data, I tried to overlap the two curves timing in order to show only their relevant portion, but because one is located between 1 and 2 seconds, and the other between 3 and 4, I can't manage to have them overlapped, even using the secondary X axis for one of the series.

Browsing internet I found a solution, which involve using the Series overlap and Gap Width elements "found" in Format data series-->Series options.

The problem is that in my Excel (Office professional plus 2013), these elements are not present!!!

    What am I doing wrong??

    PLEASE HELP!!!

Out of the message it seems that for "curve graph Force (Y axis) vs Time (X axis)" you do not use dedicated type - scatterplot graph but other one (bar graph?).
The other option is that your times are not just numbers but texts which look like numbers (but are not properly recognized as numbers by excel). It is not uncommon if data were imported from some testing equipnment, which saves data in it's native format (or even in popular csv format).

If the above is not enough consuder one of our "canned advice":
    ----

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
    Best Regards,

    Kaper
