If I understand correctly then the field settings for the three fields that have been placed in the values window need to be changed from 'Count' to 'Sum'. I also changed the number format to 'Currency'.

But how did you change it from Count to Sum. Also the pivot isn't adding up to the full totals on assumptions. thoughts?

    Re: Pivot Table - General

There may be some differences to the way this is done in the 2003 version, sorry I don't have a copy to work with.
If there is a separate tab for Pivot Table Options then look for field settings which might be on the 'active field' pane. Once selected that will open a popup that gives you the option to display sum, count ...
    Choose sum and select OK.
If there isn't such a tab then try right clicking on one of the cells in one of the values fields, such as B5, and see if 'field value settings' is one of the choices available.
If neither of these work I'll try to find someone that has a 2003 version available to test on.
As to the "pivot isn't adding up to the full totals on assumptions", could you give an example.
In the 2010 version you can double click on a cell and Excel will show you the sub units involved.
As an example I double clicked D6 and the sub units for Digital Experience are displayed on Sheet2.

    Re: Pivot Table - General

I am going to reattach the file as an .xls which is the file type supported by version 2003. However, this does raise a question in my mind, because the file attached to post #1 is an .xlsx which would be the file extension for versions 2007 and newer. You may want to make sure which version of Excel you are using.
