Pivot table show top 10 Employee

    Hello,

I have a pivot table where I need to show the manager then employee. Attachments include.
If I have manager listed first, I can't seem to have a value filter on employee to show 10 top.
What can I be doing wrong.
Basically, I want to group by manager for the 10 to employees that have the most carry-over days.

    TIA,

    Kind regards,
    Jan

I'm not sure if I understand you right...

But if you have PivotTable set up so that Manager is the parent Row Label and Employee comes below that...

Then, you should right click on any employee name. And select Filter->Top 10 and specify which value field should be used.

Edit: Note that it will be filtered within context of the Manager. Meaning that filter will be applied to Top 10 employee for each manager (not Top 10 employee over all).

Yes, that is what I am getting. Manager is first, then employee under Row Label. I get top 10 ten by manager.
Is there no other way. I guess I can have Employee name first with Manager, but that doesn't look at good.
I would like to group by the manager.

    Thank you.

If right click at manager level. It should.show top 10 managers, based on subtotal. If you want different filtering... Try applying filter at values field. Though if I recall, there is no top 10 option there.

Another method is to add rank column to source data and to filter based on it.

Ok, thank you for your reply. I'll check out the rank function to see how that works.

    Kind regards,
