How to make the scroll bar button dynamik

I am trying to make a chart that is variable with the scroll bar
I made the chart and the scroll bar and it's working except the slider part
If I click on the arrows it moves from side to side by one or I can click in between to move by more than one and the slider also works but not dynamically by that I mean when I drag the slider nothing happens on the chart it only changes when I release the slider

When I move the slider I see the values changing in the cells but it's not reflected in the chart until I release the slider
I used the index function to set it up
I also saw it set up with the Offset function but I am nut sure if this would make the scroll function any different
I am doing this with Excel 2003 if that makes any difference

Is it possible to make the slider work dynamically or do I need some code to make it work ?

This is how Excel works. You need to release the slider so that the new value (the slider position) can be evaluated by the formulas that build the chart. It does not work by just holding down and sliding.

    Hi,

Are you using a Form control or an ActiveX one? Both adjust immediately when sliding for me in 2010 but I have a feeling that in 2003 you needed to use an ActiveX one to get immediate updates.
    Don

Re: How to make the scroll bar button dynamik

I did not find active x examples but I found a spreadsheet that has this kind of scroll bar that moves dynamically
It seems to work exactly like I want it but I don't know how it's made
I can't move it or resize it and if I right click with the mouse on it nothing happens

Does this mean that it was made with active x Or was the scroll bar locked for editing in some way ?
It's like I can use it but I can recreate it or change it's properties
Should excel 2003 be able to edit or modify anything that was done with activex ?

Re: How to make the scroll bar button dynamik

    Made a little progress today
I found out why I could not get into the properties of the scrollbar
It seems that there is another scrollbar in the control toolbar so with this version I have to enter into design mode before I can click on the scrollbar to change the properties
So I will try to use this scrollbar in my spreadsheet to see if it makes a difference

    That was it
All I did was to add this scrollbar from the control toolbax and now the chart is updating as I move the slider not like before where I had to release the slider to see where the chart is
