Question Creating a scatter chart with more than 1 series of data and more than 1 column of indepen

    Hello,

I would like to create an XY chart that has date as the independent variable and C14 as the dependent variable; each column of C14 data has its own date column.

How do I create an XY chart accordingly?

    Here's how I would proceed:

    1) Select the first two columns.
    2) Insert -> charts -> XY scatter chart
    3) Inspect the created chart to see if Excel chose to add the columns as one series (with the first column as the X values and the second column as the Y values) or if Excel chose to add two data series (with an "undefined" count numbers {1,2,3,...}as the X values and each column as separate Y values series).
3a) If the latter, then delete one or both data series
    4) Bring up the "select data dialog"
4a) "Fix" any problems with the way Excel interpreted the first data series.
4b) Add the subsequent columns/data series using the Add button in the Select data dialog.
    5) Other chart formatting as desired.

Thank you - turns out it wasn't working because the date fields in one column weren't properly formatted. After I went through each cell adding a 0 in front of the months, it turned out perfectly. I'm sure there was a faster way, though.
