Creating Charts with Many Data Series'

    Hello,

I'm often creating charts with anywhere from 30 - 100 series' of data. I have been doing this by right clicking the chart and entering a new data series for each set of data. Is there any way to format my data so that I can select a large range and have it auto create a separate series for each set?

I've attached a sample document with 20 data series' that I would graph in a scatter plot. If you have a solution you will have saved my wrists from certain carpel tunnel!

On good arrangement would be something like

Select column B:whatever and insert scatter chart. Assuming Excel gets the x values correctly assigned, you should only need to delete the first data series referring to column C.

Thank you for the answer, however, I'm having trouble following your solution. What is in column D in your arrangement? Could you please attach a workbook that might better visualize what your structure?

I can't upload something right now, maybe later.

What is in column D in your arrangement?
As indicated, the formula =IF($A2=D$1,$C2,NA()) (copied down). This should give a column of values where the series number in column A matches the series number in row 1, and N/A error values where they do not match. Are you having trouble entering that formula?
