Converting data tables to fitting pivot charts/graphs step by step help

Hello, I would like some help in converting my table data into a chart/graph.

There are three groups/sets of data that need their own graph calculation of that single groups total percentage in what they voted and all three groups
should be translated into a chart next to eachother for easier reading of the graph, Check my "modified"/fake before and after pictures for what I have and what I need (the data is not correct in the example but you get the point). THX

I'm hoping this is something near what you mean.

The cells with red text work out how many of each "background" fall into each of the 1 - 5 categories and works it out as a percentage of the total within that group.

The charts are simply plotted from these cells.

Let me know if I've missed the point.

Hello, yes this is what I am looking for, but I am now wondering if there is any way to make the three graphs "unite" in some way to make the percentage amount stacks from each group match up with eachother visually.
Right now in your file, for example, the Developer group has one stack that is 50 % and the data/IT has one that is 35,29 % but they are the same height.

I am not very experienced in excel and therefore also wonder if there is some sort of step-by-step guide to how you created your charts because I cannot replicate it myself

Have a look at the chart on Sheet2 in this version of the file. Is that any closer to what you need?
It's created in a similar way to the first ones I put together for you, but the data layout is a little different. This is an easy way of plotting separate groups on the same chart and giving them different colours.

As for a step by step guide..... I don't really have one. In this case I highlighted all the cells I've marked in yellow
(The little X at the top helps make things line up easily and can be deleted once the chart is created) and then just inserted a clustered column chart.
After that I've just deleted the elements I didn't want to make things look neat and tidy. This includes the legend and the gridlines etc.
Obviously you can keep/delete/add whatever elements you want to make the chart look how you need it.

If you're interested in learning how to make clever and impressive charts in Excel then have a look at the link below.
If you cannot find what you need on that website then it possibly cannot be done.

    Hope that helps.

PS. You could simply set the upper limit of the Y axis on the charts on Sheet1 to the 100% and then they'd all match up without all the hassle of creating the chart on Sheet2. However, this would potentially leave you with a lot of ugly white space at the top of the charts.
