    Chaotic Time Axis in Pivot Chart

    I have a pivot chart which shows a time series with data points at an hourly interval (see figure).

    As can be seen in the figure, the horizontal axis is abhorrent. I've been struggling with this problems for days with no avail so I find myself compelled to ask for assistance.

    Is there a way to make the time axis less chaotic, more organized? An ideal solution would omit both the time and date and just keep the months. It would also be OK if it contained dates, but with a larger intverval between labels.
