Exclamation How to chart Time of Day vs. # minutes a task takes

I am trying to do something (I thought) was very simple - chart the time of day a task is done vs. the amount of time that the task takes.

I have start and stop times. I subtracted them and got the time between.

I even converted it to minutes and rounded it to the nearest 10 minutes. The spread is from 0 min to 300 or more minutes. There are 3000 data points.

All I want is an X/Y plot - the time of day on the Y axis - the amount of time in minutes on the X axis. Does not need to have lines or anything.

Each time I try to insert a chart, it plots both as single points in two different colors, and will not allow me to put one on X and one on Y - telling me that the limit of data points in a series is 255 data points.

Any ideas? I am running latest Excel 2016 - it seems it might have been easier in an earlier version as I cannot seem to just click on the X or Y axis and change the data the way I used to in older versions.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!!

    Lou

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.
