See attached Excel Doc.
I am trying to compare Year over year the performance of a product; however, when we are mid year in 2017, my pivot compares full year 2016 versus partial year 2017.
I would like for cell F6 on to show 50% increase because Inv $ are up versus the same months in 2016.
Data would be updated to this pivot table each month

On the pivot table, i highlighted the number i want to change. It currently says -55%, but i want it to say 50%. Cell D6 is saying that Inv $ are up 100% versus last year (which is correct). Cell F6 is saying that Inv $ are down -55% from last year, which is not correct. There have only been two months in 2017 and these two months are being compared versus all the months in 2016... In actuality, year-to-date Inv $ are up 50% versus year-to-date 2016.
Looking at the data tab, I'm trying to compare Jan-17 and Feb-17 with Jan-16 and Feb-16. But on the pivot table it is currently comparing all months in 2016 versus the only two months in 2017.

I would like it on my original pivot that doesn't need to be filtered.
I gave you solution with CalculatedColumn in source table
you can move CC from filter to rows or columns
but with yours raw (original) table you can't do that because there is no years and month which allows you to choose 2016-2017 and Jan-Feb
With your table - PT counting for all months and years without filtering
If you divide your month/year to month and year you can do that
If you want to have much more data maneuverability you will need change Ex2007 to much higher (over Ex2010).
