I am trying to create a pivot table that will calculate survey results I dumped into excel.
I can get it to count 1 question and count the responses
Agree
Disagree
somewhat agree
somewhat disagree
The problem is I have about 100 questions and when I put other questions in there the counts are inaccurate. I could do this with countifs statements but there has got to be an easy way through pivot tables...any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated...

I put some practice data on one table and the start of the pivot on the other..
basically I want to be able to count the responses to each question but I want to be able to see each question. As you can see I can get it to do it for one question but anytime I try to get a second it makes a mess of it.

First: change the file type to your excel format (Excel 2016): xlsx / xlsm / xlsb
Xls is an Excel 2003 format

with COUNTIF it will take a minute or less

I was trying to do it in pivot tables. Perhaps that is not the best way of doing it?
but this is a Pivot Table !
if you want PT without additional CalculatedColumns in source table you will need define ClaculatedFields / Columns in Data Model
Edit:
If you don't want to see additional columns in source you can simply hide them

I am looking to analysize multiple questions that are associated with multiple buildings at once..you would think this would be doable with a pivot table...count ifs limit the ability ao analize by different variables...quickly for me
