Hi,
I'm trying to filter my pivot table to return dates but instead of using the drop down list to select dates, I would like to have the user input a date and have the pivot return the next 5 or 6 days. The Drop down does not let me select filter by dates, it is grayed out.

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.
Remember to desensitize the data.
Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
Insert a slicer. Problem solved.

use correct extension for Excel 2013 --> xlsx, xlsb, xlsm (xls is for Excel 2003)

All dropdowns are accessible. Maybe use Date filter or Custom filter (or slicer but in this case slicer is the same as dropdown)

Slicer and/or Timeline are NOT drop downs, they're click and drag selective choices which the OP had originally requested help with. It would be his best option in lieu of a true drop down selection.Originally Posted by sandy666
