    Post Switch dates/week numbers

    Hi,

I have a chart that I use as a process plan to building construction. It shows bars controlled by a start date and a length defined by number of working days. Right now the x axis shows by usual calendar dates (see image below) but I'd like to be able to somehow switch it to week numbers.

I tried to convert the dates with the WEEKNUM formula and then add those data to the chart but it doesn't really work if I want to show a more than 2 years period: it shows 1 to 53 (week in a year) instead of 1 to 53 to 1 to 53 again etc..

I think what I want is to change what is displayed by the x axis as well as its "graduations", show a vertical line every 1/2/3 weeks depending on the "zoom". I also thought about maybe doing to charts and hiding/showing the one I want with a button and a macro, but that's not really the place for that question.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

    David

    Re: Switch dates/week numbers

I did with that formula: =(WEEKNUM(A1;2)&"-"&YEAR(A1)
But it doesn't do anything once put in a chart...Besides I don't think this is very "safe", this year (2017) the 1st week starts the 2nd of January so the whole thing is offset by one week, excel count 01-01-2017 as being the week 1, and so week 2 is from 02-01...
