    Pivottable from multiple tables?

    Hi,

I have several tables that I want to combine into one PivotTable and are using Excel 2013. Before I had to combine the tables into a single table Before creating the PivotTable, but with 2013 there is this Datamodel that I try to use to combine more tables.

The tables are quite simple, contatains data with a date (month) in this case and then there is a category and a subcategory and last a sum of sales for that item.

Now I just wat to have it grouped by categories (the rows) and the months (columns) in a Pivottable, and with the first table it workls nice, but when I add the second table I get values from table2 in a second column, ending up with two columns for each month instead of a sum of the month from both tables?

    What am I missing here?

    /G.F

This is an example of why a sample workbook is required.

Honestly, merging multiple pivot tables is pretty difficult unless you are using power query and power pivot.

You want to query your data using power query and build functions to connect your source data.

This is how you can show different fields from unrelated source files in one pivot, following the same ordering rules (filters, etc.)
