    Question stacked chart percentage

    Heey guys,

Does anyone have some experience on the problem below?
I am having the following problems when trying to create a stacked chart. I would like to make adjustment in the chart below.
Since I would like to make a similar chart with different data. For this example, assume the y-axis is different (e.g. % total revenue generated by selling televisions) and that the numbers in the chart stay the same.

I would like to adjust the chart in a way so that I can create a stacked chart, for example i would like to depict in the chart:

1999: 10 % of total revenue generated by selling televisions, of this 10%:
    - 40 % plasma tv
    - 30 % amoled tv
    - 30 % led tv

2000: 11% of total revenue generated by selling televisions, of this 11%:
    - 60 % plasma tv
    - 20 % amoled tv
    - 20 % led tv

    Re: stacked chart percentage

Pictures without Excel file are useless

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

    Re: stacked chart percentage

It is not clear to me what you are having difficulty with. A sample file would help, as sandy666 noted.

You say that you want to create a stacked bar chart (your picture is a column chart, but the ideas I suggest are basically the same for column or bar charts) with different data. Charts don't create or analyze data, so the first step to create a stacked chart with different data will be to compute the new data in the spreadsheet. Do you have ranges that compute these "percent of percent" values in your spreadsheet? Have you got these data arranged in a suitable table? I would expect something like:
Please Login or Register to view this content.
Select this range and insert your stacked bar or column chart. Format chart elements as desired. It often seems that most of the work is in building the spreadsheet and not in creating the chart.

Can you build a table like that? What would you need help with?
