Slicers not working

I'm not sure if I post this in the right section, if not I'm sorry please change.

So at my work we use office 2010. For some charts I use slicers, because it makes the charts very easy to filter. At home I'm using my macbook pro with office 2016.

When I use the same excel file, the slicers don't work in my mac. When I get back to windows the slicers work just fine.

Is this a compatibility issue between the two different office versions? And is there a solution to this?

Maybe create slicer on Mac then check it at work
